This source explains the psychological functions of the family. It provides strong and valid points, and is very reliable as it has been written by a individual who has a PH. D, giving her an indepth knowledge about this information. There appears to be no bias, and the author focuses on the necessity of family for the individual to provide the necessary socialization agent to provide love and a feeling of belonging in a family, which contributes to a strong functional family. This source provided the necessary knowledge for a proper conclusion to be made about the necessary functions of the family in order for it to function properly.

This was also a great resource since it gave the perspectives of several different models, making it easier to compare and draw reasonable conclusions from. It also provided information on different types of parenting models and behavioural structures which assisted in providing a detailed and accurate description of what a family is. The information was reliable since it was a collection of all the different theories of family functions from trusted researchers.

Conclusions are made based on facts about our changing world and economy, as well as the foundation of this: the family.
